A Big Boy Bed

Josh's new furniture arrived on Wednesday. Josh now officially has the nicest furniture in the house. The question is, is he sleeping in his new bed? Well, here's how it is going:

Night 1: Josh said he wanted to sleep in his big boy bed. At 9:30pm we heard "mommy, daddy come here". His diaper was changed and Josh said he wanted to go back in his big boy bed. At 10:30pm we heard "mommy, daddy". At this point we decided to just put him in the crib.

Night 2: Josh again said "the big boy bed". But, this time after about one hour we moved him to the crib. Josh tucks himself up into the head of crib so his head is smushed into the corner and his back is tucked up against the rail. Maybe the bed is just too big?

Day 3 Naptime: We tried the nap in the bed. How is it going? I haven't heard any sounds yet, and I'm just about to go up and check... Could it be he's sleeping in his bed????

Fun on a rainy afternoon

Josh Logic

After Josh's second or third yogurt for breakfast he said (with the little smile and cute, quiet voice he uses when he knows he is asking for something he probably won't get)

"Want dessert."
"No Josh, we don't have dessert after breakfast."
"I want dinner. Have dessert after dinner."

My Little Baker

You never know, he may be making me breakfast in bed before long!

Bikes

Now, if only we could get Josh to ride the new bike we got him, because he is getting way too big for this! But, he is wearing the helmet now, so that is something. And best yet, since we are not on a hill (or at least one like before) Josh can ride his bike right outside.

Track Building

We've raised our track build to a whole new level! Josh really likes these tracks, but you can tell they are very fragile!

Is It Spring?

The Cherry Blossoms would make you think yes, but the jackets and hats say "no". Josh enjoyed walking around the entire Tidal Basin. Unfortunately we completely forgot to bring the stroller, so Dad had to do a fair amount of carrying. But we had a fun, if somewhat cold, morning looking at the Cherry Blossoms and the planes flying by.

Josh, ready for action!

Evolution of a "cheese"

Which Josh has started saying automatically when he sees me with the camera. Followed by "no more" or "you're finished?".
