Rolling

I think it is official. At just under 5 months, Daniel is rolling, at least one direction, from his back to his tummy. I thought he was going to roll tummy to back first, but now he has starting going back to tummy and gets upset he is on his stomach. He won't stay on his back at all right now, just keeps rolling!

Huh?

Josh seems to have picked up our habit of saying "huh" at the end of a sentence. "We can play with the mobile crane, huh."

Daniel Time

Look at that sweet, sweet smile!
This isn't fun any more.

Raking

It's a big job, and Josh was a good helper. Until he discovered how much more fun it was to throw the leaves around and run through them!

Thinking about it?

Is Daniel thinking about rolling? Maybe. He's definitely curling around onto his side.

Rice Cereal

Since Daniel has decided that he's not into the bottle during the day and prefers to wake up very frequently to eat at night instead, the pediatrician suggested trying rice cereal to help fill him up.
Well, at first we thought Daniel liked, but since those first few spoonfools, he hasn't been to fond of the cereal. Guess we just have to keep trying.

Playing

Daniel spent a long time (45 minutes?) playing on his mat and trying to eat the octopi!

Happy Halloween

Two early trick-or-treaters came to the door and all of a sudden, Josh decided it was time to go. I tried to get a picture with Josh smiling, but his "cheese" face kept getting in his way. After a few houses, Josh really wanted to come back home so he could eat his candy. He didn't quite get the concept that more houses equals more candy.

Pumpkin Decorating

Josh "decorated" our last small pumpkin by coloring on it with one of his favorite colors, black. Josh drew everything on the pumpkin himself. All by himself, he drew the smiley face pumpkin that we had carved. Amazing!

Daniel felt it was time to move on to better things.

Pumpkin Carving

Josh wanted a "smiley face" pumpkin. We had fun carving pumpkins and eating roasted pumpkin seeds. Daniel was checking out the scene too. "I don't like my hands dirty" Josh did not want to touch the goop inside of the pumpkin.
