Photographer or Engineer?

Josh took this picture of Daniel. Right now I'm going for either photographer or rocket scientist for Josh's profession. We went to the Air and Space Museum the other day and Josh and I watched the entire video of the Mars rover simulation, with intense concentration. Others came and went, but we sat on the floor and watched the entire thing.

Four Years Old

Josh is four years old. How did that happen?
Vitals: 34 lbs, just under 40"
Favorite things to play:
- "talk" the car/truck/train (whatever object he is interested in at the moment)
- Legos
- anything from the "Cars" movie

4 year Josh-isms
Josh is always making up words and providing us with long, complex definitions. But, some of our favorite sayings are
- when Josh drinks anything carbonated he says it makes his mouth feel "whizzy".
- "Wash my hair at the ippy skippy end of the bath"
- "It's super smuper duper" (or something like that)

What's New?
Josh has started at a new preschool with lots more kids in his class. He is already trying to impose his rules on the rest of the class, but he is doing great. Josh is also great with his letters and is starting to read, when he feels like it. Going to bed and sleeping has become a challenge since he is scared of something, maybe monsters. We mostly read books about dinosaurs and space. Josh's favorite (really his only) movie is "Cars" even though he keeps saying "why is this so long?" the whole time. And with Daniel? Josh is pretty good. The occassional push, but for the most part he either ignores Daniel or tells us what Daniel is saying. Every once in awhile they play together, usually peek-a-boo.

Little Helper

Daniel knows exactly where all the toys are stored in the backyard. As soon as he is outside, there he goes around to the back to pull out the next thing. Right now he really likes the lawnmower and is great at helping mow the, uhm, lawn...

Big Boy Bike

Seems like all the 4 year olds get bikes for their birthday. Josh is no exception. We picked it out this weekend (Daddy supervised of course) and Josh was pretty good on it.
